Visitation BVM welcomes families of all faiths to join the Visitation BVM family. Our mission, curriculum, and values are rooted in the Catholic faith.

Tuition for the 2024- 2025 school year is $4,600 per student.  Families with two or more children in grades Kindergarten through eighth grade receive $1,000 sibling discount for each additional child’s tuition.

Visitation BVM has significant financial aid for families.   

Families are guaranteed tuition assistance upon completion of scholarship paperwork!

It is our belief that all children should have the opportunity to receive a Catholic School education. In order to make a Visitation education attainable, we partner with a variety of foundations to offer tuition assistance.

Visitation BVM is honored to partner with are Children’s Scholarship Fund of Philadelphia. We encourage families of Pre-K 4- 8th grade students to apply for Children’s Scholarship at https://www.csfphiladelphia.org/.

Assistance is not guaranteed but families will not be eligible for any assistance if they do not file an application through the above website.

Visitation BVM offers an after school program for all grades. Programming begins immediately at the close of the school day and runs until 6:00 pm. During the after school program, children receive homework help, a snack and participate in a variety of sports and clubs. 

At Visitation BVM, it is our goal to educate and inspire the whole child. In order to do so, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities including CYO basketball, choir, chess club, and gaming club. Students need to remain in good academic and behavioral standing in order to participate in extracurricular activities.

In addition to our after school extracurricular activities, Visitation BVM also partners with a variety of outside organizations to provide music, dance, and life skills lessons during the school day. Visitation BVM is happy to partner with Musicopia and Dancing Classrooms Philadelphia to introduce our students to the fine arts. We are also proud of the partnership that we have with Shalom that delivers a variety of life skills lessons to students in grades K- 8, as well as My Daughters Kitchen which provides cooking lessons. 

The academic day begins at 8:20 am, students who arrive after this time are marked tardy. Dismissal varies by grade groups beginning at 2:45pm and continuing through 3:00pm.

Visitation BVM offers a free before care program that is available to all students. Students may arrive as early as 7:20 am.

Visitation BVM partners with Nutritional Development Services to provide all students with free breakfast and lunch. Students who wish to eat breakfast must arrive at school by 8:15 am. Students are permitted to bring their own lunch if they do not like what is offered. Any allergy/ dietary concerns are to be communicated to the cafeteria staff.

Yes! Visitation partners with Read Allowed, CORA and Catapult Learning to provide additional support such as ESOL, Speech, small group math and reading instruction, student counseling, and family services.  All teachers differentiate classroom instruction to ensure that the needs of all students are met.

At Visitation BVM, we strive to provide small class sizes to ensure that the needs of all students are met. The typical class size for our Pre- K program is 12 students and the typical class size for grades K- 8 is 22 students.

* In September, October, May, and June all students in Kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to wear a light blue polo shirt instead of the button up dress shirt.
